Fat Tuesday
Lent starts tomorrow - got to use up all the oil & sugar, so we make pancakes! Did you know that was the origin of Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras)? Our church, like many Episcopal congregrations has a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday/Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras. And of course we turned out for free food.
Kat & BFF Grace
Laney getting her nosh on - and um, check out the fork. This has become a dinner time necessity, even if she does still use her hands most of the time.
All eyes for Bethany (who volunteered to baby sit any Friday! Woo hoo!)
Grace gets Elena giggling.
Daddy & the Lana-Bug

Let's hear if for the Three-peat!
UIL Solo & Ensemble went very well this weekend - Kathryn got two division 1's! That's as high as they get (5 being the lowest). This her third year in a row for the Solo Div. 1. I have to say I am very impressed by the ensemble, they had only been together in their final state for about a week.
Here's Kat before the contest:
And after:
She changed to black for the ensemble so the whole group would be wearing the same color. (That and she got to wear both of the new dresses she got a Kohl's two weeks ago. I was rather proud - we got the both of them for $20 total!)

Symptoms of being a . . . MOM?
Yesterday on the radio they were talking about the symptoms of Adult ADHD. Check these out:
1. Inability to start or finish tasks once started
2. Chronically late
3. Disorganization
4. Trouble remembering things
5. Constantly losing or misplacing things.
Not to take away from a real and serious issue from some people, but my symptoms set in after Elena was born. Mind you it's the extra 10 minutes it takes to get her & her gear to the car that usually makes me late, she takes things and leaves them in weird places, having a 17 month old attached to you leg makes it hard to complete a task and there's the general lack of sleep, but . . .
