Sissy's Back!

Kathryn got back frm a month with her mom late last night. We had a little delayed birthday celebration after Rob & I got home from work today.

This picture pretty much says it all. 1. Elena would not leave her sister alone. She's missed her so much! 2. Check out that manic grin on the 14 year with her new CELL PHONE! (Yes, we finally gave in, the marching band schedule pretty much convinced us)
Love this picture. I think Elena yelled "Cheese" before I took it!Oh, yeah and she got a new camera.
Laney helped open presents.
Finally, check out the amazing CD case her Granddad made her. Its got scroll work on each end with musical notes and a "K".

Whoda thunk it?

See what this is? This is my baby girl in her pool in the backyard and what's that? That's a smile!
We spent a few minutes out there today. I got in and pulled her in with me. We also added her water wheel toy from the bathtub.
She had a blast squeezing out the splash balls to make the water wheels turn.
This is fantastic. I was a bit concerned about our family vacation to the beach in Florida if she didn't get to a point where she could at least in enjoy the water for a few minutes. Apparently, she needs to be forced in and then she has a good time.

We had another good sign a few weeks ago with my parents. This is day two in the pool with Mama Janie & Daddy Ron:
Check out our little fishy kicking her feet with Daddy!
Here's hoping all these good feelings continue and are joined by good weather in Destin!

Our Happy Fourth

Hope everyone had a happy & safe 4th of July! We did for the most part, there was an incident with my thumb and a sparkler, but it was not extreme.
We did a little birthday for Neil 16 days late, but who's counting?
This picture about sums it up - my maniacal husband, a lit lighter, & a string of 400 fire crackers.
Becky does a little dance with the sparklers. Don't worry she's a professional.
Charlie's Angels if two were guys, one was Becky and the guns shot confetti strings.
And I leave you with some fireworks pictures. First from the neigboring church's display:
And our artillery shells with which we had much fun setting off the neighbors car alarm:
